About the Club
- Affiliated to Swim England South West & Somerset.
- Swim 21 Club Essential accredited, Swim England’s quality mark which recognises the club is committed to providing a safe, effective and quality services for the benefit of our members.
Training
- We run sessions on Tuesday and Thursday between 6:30pm - 9:00pm.
- Swimmers can attend either or both evenings. Swimmers are allocated a squad based on their level of experience.
- Bronze Squad 6:30pm – 7:15pm
- Silver Squad 7:15pm – 8:00pm
- Gold Squad 8:00pm – 9:00pm
- The Club is open throughout term time and school holidays other than 2 weeks at Christmas and 4 weeks in the Summer. Initially your child will be invited for a trial to determine their current swimming ability and aquatic skills. A place will be offered dependant on the assessed level, suitability to join a club environment and the availability of spaces. The length of a session depends on the assessed level and individual’s maturity. Progress is assessed regularly both by observation of stroke technique, aquatic skills and timed sessions. Group moves are solely at the discretion of the Coaching Team and occur at the end of the month.
Competitive opportunities
- The club enter a range of swim meets throughout the year. The coaching team will identify and invite swimmers to enter targeted meets and events on the competition calendar.
Fees
- Fees contribute towards the hiring of the pool, Coaching and Swim England membership fees (please contact our Membership Secretary for up to date Club Fees).
- Reviewed by the committee as required to reflect pool hire charges, Swim England fees and insurance.
- Reductions in fees where a parent holds a club officer role, is a regular coach / teacher or carries out a significant identified role are agreed annually by the Committee.
